Theme
This tour is designed to appeal to those who are interested in golf and whisky.
We have included golf courses to give you the opportunity to play different styles of courses.
You will play a links course, some parkland and heathland courses and a tree lined course set in a beautiful pine forest.
In addition, you will visit some of the finest distilleries in Scotland to see how Scotch is made and to enjoy samples of the whiskies at each distillery. Add together some fine golf, great whiskies and elegant accommodations and you have a great vacation to look forward to.
Route
Your tour will commence on your arrival into Scotland where you will be met at the airport by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Guest can choose to arrive in Edinburgh or Glasgow Airport and transfers to the first hotel are included from both airports. Depending on your flight arrival time, there will be time to visit the historic city of Stirling or play golf nearby, before traveling to your hotel to check in and meet up with the rest of your group at a welcome dinner.
After a relaxing first evening you will travel to St Andrews to play golf at The Home of Golf, St Andrews. Golf on The Eden Course and The Dukes Course. Then travel north to Dunkeld in the highlands for two nights where again you will enjoy some spectacular scenery, great golf and whisky tastings at a few of the finest distilleries in the area. You will then head south to spend your final two nights in Scotland’s magnificent capital city, Edinburgh, where you will have some free time for exploring, sightseeing, shopping, or just relaxing with a beer or a coffee.
Food and drink
Everyone enjoys good food when on holiday and we can help you to select good places to eat and drink when you are here. There are many pubs and restaurants in interesting locations to choose from. You may prefer some simple tapas bars or street cafes where you can watch the world go by, a wonderful lunch in a historic building or castle, or dinner at an award-winning restaurant with an amazing wine cellar. You can mix casual dining with a few formal dining experiences.
There is more to Scotland than tartan and pipers!
